SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

The School Site Council [SSC] is the decision-making council for all programs funded through our categorical / Title I Funds, as outlined in the School Plan for Student Achievement [SPSA]

TITLE I

The purpose of the Title I program is to provide all students significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps.
-Every Student Succeeds Act [ESSA], Title I, Part A, Section 1001

Schools receive supplemental federal funds to provide services that raise the academic achievement level of students in high-poverty schools.

Because we implement a Title I Schoolwide Program, all parents at Santee Education Complex have the opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of the program through activities such as serving on the School Site Council [SSC], updating the School Plan for Student Achievement [SPSA], developing parent and family  involvement policies and compacts; attending parent-teacher conferences, parent & family trainings and workshops; and participating as school volunteers.

ANNUAL MEETING

The Title 1 Annual Meeting will be held on October 27, 2021 to provide parents and families with an overview of the Title I program and its requirements.

For more information regarding the school's Title I Program, please contact our Title I Coordinator, Ms. Franklin or Assistant Principal Molina or Principal Ruiz.

SCHOOL PLAN FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT [SPSA]
Pursuant to CA Education Code 64001 (A), Santee Education Complex writes a comprehensive school plan to upgrade the core academic program without distinguishing between eligible and ineligible children. All students may benefit from the additional services based upon the identified needs described in the plan but the services must help students most at risk.
